#7 IIRC sparkle is what you get from some one else's laser designator in the new FLIR's. It presents as a dashed box in the Hud, goggles, or screen? It can come from an UAV, ground unit, another helicopter, or recon aircraft. I can see why there is a push for smaller missles, the Hellfire is just a tad bit of overkill for a soft target. You could carry more smaller ones also. Shame they can't haul more 30mm. |
