Network)-Hundreds of fresh Æthiopian troops have on Saturday crossed into Somalia to join the ongoing regional battle against Al Qaeda-affiliated gunnies of Al shabab in South-western Somalia, residents and officials said.Reports said about 50 battlewagons carrying Æthiopian soldiers entered in the border town ofLuuqin Gedo region where Somali government troops are based and battling with Al shabab fighters for years.
In an attempt to verify this report, Shabelle Media contacted on the phone with Somali military commanders in the region, but the commanders declined to comments, saying they were not authorized to speak to the Media.
