#14 Hah, like we have time for that. If we were doing it, that country wouldn't exist anymore cept as a playground for roughnecks and frac crews. |

#13 This reminds me of the forgotten comedy, Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? (1978). "Who Is Killing The Nuclear Scientists Of Iran?" |

#12 The regime knocks-off plenty of people. Why the excuses? Perhaps they want to intimidate, but taking direct responsibility might send the educated running to foreign shelters. By blaming those foreign shelters, some might be discouraged from taking that route. I liked Uneter's point about the Russians. Do they really want a nuclear armed Iran on their border? Even if the exchange was with Israel, the radioactive cloud that would drift towards Russia would make Chernobyl look like 3-mile island in comparison. |

#7 It's the Ruritanian intelligence service. Sorta like the Bulgarians but with really spiffy frock coats... |

#5 Jimmy Carter. Had we done to Iran when the embassy was seized what we've done to Iraq for failure to comply with a ceasefire agreement, we wouldn't be asking this question today. |

#3 Russians have access and detailed knowledge of where the assets are. They don't mind wet work. They'll sell Iran stuff, for cash, but do they they really want a Muslim bomb on their border? I'd like to believe that it's us somehow, but Occam's razor says it's the Russkis. Added long game bonus: Iran becomes more dependent to Russian know-how (for a fee). |

#2 Must have been a satellite-mounted death ray. Or it could have been hidden in a ham sandwich. |

#1 I have it on good authority its the South Azeristan Liberation Front. Or it might be the Salafist Front for the Liberation of South Azeristan. I get them mixed up sometimes. |
