#1 US Code is pertty simple in this regard: Anonymous broke into a computer system, which is a crime and distributed the data, which is also a crime. It doesn't make a bit of difference if it was done to save the children, the planet or stamps. What they did was a crime punishable by imprisonment in US federal prison. Paint your acts in hues of nobility all you want: you committed a serious federal crime. |
