#25  Saw a national Geographic once where a group of surgeons went there to perform eye surgeries on about 1000 people. To a man the people did not thank the surgeon or nurse or organization - not at all -- but they gave profuse thanks to Kim. These people are seriously disturbed.

Not necessarily. Non-zero odds that Kim said he had spent mucho dinero getting Western experts to heal the sick.

#24  A friend was teaching in South Korean when Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide. There were long lines of South Koreans mourning his passing. There was much wailing and many tears. It seems to be a Korean thing.

#23  So Kim Jong is not just ill, he's dead?

#22  Guarantee they'll have huge long lines if they give away a bowl of soup after you view Jong Il's remains.

#21  From what I've read, can't remember where, there were people who sincerely believed that Stalin was a god. He'd been in power for so long there must have been a lot of them who couldn't remember any other boss. They lined up for blocks to see him lying in state because they wanted to see the dead god. Maybe they'll pay the same tribute to Kimmie.

#18  ...And the FoxNews story says he snuffed it on the train. Wondering if that's significant in any way.

Stalin liked trains. Plus you gotta figure the roads in North Korea aren't all that great being as how nobody can afford a car. And if you were Kimmie, would you trust your airplane mechanics?

#16  You have to understand that Pyongyang is only for the cream-of-the-party. Those who are absolute loyal and dedicated to the Kimmies. The real kimmie-worshipers. They get food and some support.

Good riddance. Perhaps he'll spend eterenty in his own prison camp.

#15  Sounds fake to me, like somebody said
"Stand at attention, now WEEP LIKE YOU MEAN IT",(But don't break ranks)
Good riddance

#14  They're crying because they are so hungry because he's so tiny. In a nation that hungry there just won't be enough kim to go around.

Yes it's distasteful, but they simply must be fed.

#9  At times like these, I am reminded of the words of Moms Mabley:

"Can't you say anything good about the dead?"

"He's dead; that's good!"

#5  Have a seat, said the Devil.
Mr Kim Jong Il, I suppose?
We may start with a tree bark diet for you, for preparation.
In ten million years, we'll see what's next.
As a bonus, your tree bark will already have been eaten once by your dad.
