| Iran: Air defenses can detect & shoot down unauthorized UAV's |

| TEHRAN – The commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbiya Air Defense Base said on Saturday that Iranian air defense units have been equipped with advanced radar systems capable of detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). In addition, he said previous radar systems have also been upgraded. In response to the news that Israel has planned to use UAVs against the Islamic Republic, Esmaeili said, “The Zionist regime talks utter nonsense.” How many hundreds of UAVs can Iran handle at the same time? Inquiring minds want to know. |

| #5 Just send one of the old Firebee drones in, with it broadcasting jamming signals on all of the major Iranian radar frequencies. When they dial up the power on the individual radars to burn through the interference, catalog all of the radar sites and then hit them. |

| #2 It seems to be a good idea to have some target drones that both have a big radar signature, and a hull made of advanced materials making it pretty impervious to typical ground attack. And extra maneuverable. And where it goes, HARMs follow. So their radars light up light an Xmas tree, and their SAMs plink it relatively harmlessly. And then all their radars are blown to smithereens. |
