According to National News Agency, a number of people from the North took part in a march in Tripoli "in solidarity with the Syrian people at an invitation from the Secular Gathering in Leb amidst strict security measures taken by the army and internal security forces." Protesters raised banners denouncing the Russian and Chinese positions in the U.N. Security Council, and demanded the international community to "issue a resolution condemning the Syrian regime", assuring that "the conflict in Syria is against the system and not between minorities and majorities." |
