Feds: Al-Qaida may use small planes
2011-09-05
WASHINGTON - The FBI and Homeland Security have issued a nationwide warning about al-Qaida threats to small airplanes, just days before the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
And days after the Marine One bad weather in cloudless skies incident.
Authorities say there is no specific or credible terrorist threat for the 10-year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. But they have stepped up security nationwide as a precaution.
Because, ya know, there isn't any other way they would want to celebrate the anniversary.
According to a five-page law-enforcement bulletin, as recently as early this year al-Qaida was considering ways to attack airplanes.
Five page bulletin? Did they use 32 pt fonts? Sounds like there may be some other details. Or a long cc list.
The alert said terrorists have considered renting private planes and loading them with explosives.
But they haven't filed a flight plan.

#5  The main threat remains BIOWAR + CHEMWAR, espec BIOWAR.

IMO it will begin to change towards NUCWAR = "Dirty" Nukes-WMDS once Radical Islam finally succeeds in assuming control of most or all of the Muslim Govts-States in the ME + North Africa, + imposes pro-Islamist, anti-US/Western Islamic Statehood, to include going FULL-SCALE NUKULAAR.

2015-2020.

I've always wondered iff Flight 91, i.e. the airliner that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9-11, had PENN STATE AS ONE OF ITS ITS ORIGINAL TARGETS.

#4  We're 4 months past the 2 May hit in Pakland. It took some time for the IC to digest all the info, exploit what they could, and sanitize stuff for public consumption. This report is a prime example of that. Not that I would have any direct knowledge or anything like that cause I don't - really.

#2  Sounds like the precursor to the Feds cracking down on all private planes (except for Demo elite supporters) so that any flight on any plane any where any when will require the same sort of "security" required at a major air port.

Thousands more jobs for the pols to hand out; more headaches for and controls over the churls.
Tyrrany has a million claws.

#1  Another day, another 'The sky is falling' cry from Big Sis. followed by the obligatory '..no specific or credible...' your mileage may vary disclaimer.
Just a one act pony ( and fugly to boot) and this gets real old real quick. put some resources into securing the borders to keep all the undesireabels (sic?) out.
More conditioning for the next escalation in the removal of whatever personal liberties we have left.
