Moonbat fratricide: Obama campaign attacks "Firebagger Lefty Blogosphere" |
2011-08-18 |
Amanda Terkel, Huffasnuffaluffagus Post The Obama campaign's point person in New Mexico recently sent an email to supporters defending the president's position on the debt deal and bashing the Nobel Prize winning New York Times columnist Paul Krugman and the "Firebagger Lefty blogosphere."... "Firebagger" is most likely a combined reference to the liberal blog FireDogLake, founded by Jane UPDATE: 3:24 p.m. -- Hamsher responds: "[I]f this is a brilliant political strategy on the part of OFA, someone is going to have to explain it to me. I know the goal is to attract the much-prized Independent for 2012. But who do they think is keeping Obama's poll numbers afloat? ... What exactly does OFA think they stand to gain by ridiculing Krugman as a 'political rookie,' a hysterical 'fanatic' and an 'idealogue'? The perception that they're actually in touch with reality, in a way that Paul Krugman isn't? Do they think they hold so much sway with liberals that they can discredit Krugman and thus neutralize his criticism? This smacks more of narcissism and personal vendetta than any sound political 'strategy.'" Narcissism? From President Egojunkie McTeleprompter? Naaah, it could never happen! [/sarc] Down in the comment boxes, the firebaggers are in full DefCon 1 paranoia mode. The first example is from "Angry Chair," a Huffasnuffaluffagus Post "super user": "It" was an INSIDE JOB I wish, I wish. Another "super user," calling him/herself "offred," laments: Well, now we know that the palace guard is isolating Obama, just like Cheney isolated Bush. UnfortunatÂely, it sounds like we seriously misjudged Obama during his presidentiÂal campaign. Making sense of this last one is left as an exercise for the student: Krugman/prÂogressives /independeÂnts >>>>>>>>>>Â>>>.......ÂObama, Staffers, Advisors, whole cabinet , Obama bots ,and faux news . |

#7 Moonbat fratricide? Sounds like a winner to me. Saw where Reid, Schumer, Durbin, and others were grousing to the DNC about the O'bammer sucking up all the donk money for his campaign. Seems there wasn't enough for them. Getting interesting. |

#6 I'd trade Obama for America, but who would I trade him to, China? Venezuela? Brazil? I'm not sure any of them would take him. Even Cuba isn't THAT stupid. |

#3 I -think- the last one is either (greater than)^13, or pac man tracks...could be the noise that robot from Buck Rogers makes. Obama the undercover Pub...yeah, forgot about that one. Super User indeed...but maybe it's right! I must be a neophyte, all I had time to notice was Dowd's comparison of obama as dressage to Perry and wild stallion, and how what a stallion has which dressage lacks. |

#2 Looks like news of a faked alien invasion is off the cards then... > What exactly does OFA think they stand to gain by ridiculing Krugman as a 'political rookie,' a hysterical 'fanatic' and an 'idealogue'? Some credibility! |

#1 I love it when they bash him for not being liberal enough. It brings tears to Ralph Nader's eyes. |
