(KUNA) -- A Turkish court ordered the arrest of seven senior Army and Navy officers in the midst of the trial of suspects of an alleged coup d'etat against the government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.The suspects include generals Nusret Tasdeler, the head of the army's educational command and Ismail Hakki Pekin, the intelligence chief of the general staff, and Retired General Hasan Igsiz, the former head of the First Army, Anatolia news agency reported.
The officers are among 22 charged last month for attempting to oust the government led by the Justice and Development Party (AKP).
They were accused of creating websites that publish anti-government sentiment.
