Harvard: July 4th Parades Are Right-Wing

OMG!!! Increasing the odds that one would vote Republican by 1-4%!! The article links to the research paper, which is a good deal more interesting than the headline suggests, and implies that adult political orientation may be strongly influenced by regional climate experienced during the key age bracket of 7-10 years as anything else... although that conclusion appears contradicted by the small percentage of voting Republicans in California.

#2  If believing in a sovereign country is right wing
The problem is most left wingers have major issues with self-hatred. Instead of taking these issue(which usually begin in childhood) off to their mental health professionals, they project their self-hatred onto their country(their surrogate parent) which then leaves them in a dilemma.
Who then can be their Mammies and daddies?
Well as alcoholics and druggies have found in therapy:
"Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity"
The power greater than themselves that they have come to believe is usually some crazy doctrine like Marxism or a translational institution like the UN.

#1  And May Day Parades are Left-Wing. Go figure.

If believing in a sovereign country is right wing, then the transnational progressives commentators have drawn their line.
