2011-06-28 | |
A handout picture released by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) shows Syria's President Bashar al-Assad (C-L) meeting with US Congressman Dennis Kucinich and his delegation in Damascus. The US lawmaker strongly opposed to US military involvement in Afghanistan and the Libyan conflict is on a "fact-finding" visit to Syria and Lebanon, his office said. Kucinich is famous for among other things, taking the City of Cleveland into bankruptcy, trying to impeach President Bush (43) and suing the House cafeteria on the grounds his sandwich contained olive pits.
