| MPs Say Karzai Wants to Include Taliban in Cabinet | |

[Tolo News] Afghan House of Representatives on Saturday said the government along with High Peace Council is seeking to include the Taliban in the cabinet.
Legislators warned the government would only respond it parliament applies pressure to introduce the remaining ministers. Parliamentarians say they would continue protesting the government till ministers are not sent to the house for vote of confidence. "Let's come to the main point why the remaining ministers are not introduced? It might be because talks are in progress between peace council and the Taliban and the Taliban have their own demands concerning the cabinet ministers," Abdul Zaher Qadir, an Afghan MP, said. Baktash Seyawash representing Kabul in the house said: "We are all committed to our constitution and there should be a way to take action toward anyone who is postponing the implementation of our constitution." "After going through the vote of confidence a candidate minister becomes a legitimate minister," another member of parliament, Sherwali Wardak, said. Now that years have passed since Karzai's second term as president, a number of ministries are run by acting ministers in what is seen as the pivotal flaw in Karzai's administration. | |

| #2 Maybe the future Taliban foreign minister of Afghanistan (Mullah Omar perhaps?) will find the time to appreciate the Ground Zero Mosque during his visit to the UN next year? /sarc If the desired end state of this "Good War" is a stable and peaceful, albeit islamofascistic Afghanistan ruled by the Taliban then why start this war in the first place? In 2001 Afghanistan was all of the above. |
