| Fort Dix plotters to challenge Patriot Act during appeal | |

| Attorneys for the five Muslim immigrants convicted in the Fort Dix plot will challenge the Patriot Act as they appeal the convictions. The lawyers will argue that their clients were entrapped by FBI informants. They claim the discussions were little more than a debate about jihad. They will challenge the constitutionality of a Patriot Act provision used to seize video that their clients left at a store for processing. This included footage of the defendants firing assault weapons and bellowing about jihad. Hearings are set for today in US appeals court in Philadelphia.
