Campaigning for Immigration Reform
2011-05-11
On his first trip to the U.S.-Mexico border as president, Obama attempted to blunt the conservative argument that the United States should secure its own borders before making any other changes to liberalize immigration law.
Building on his Obama-Got-Osama bounce.
Could have been worse: he might be talking about bullying again. Of course, he knows something about that...
The president accused Republicans of constantly looking to "move the goal posts" on what constitutes securing the border.
So what are you stopping Arizona from doing, your majesty?
"They wanted more agents at the border. Well, we now have more empty boots on the ground on the Southwest border than at any time in our history," he said. They wanted a fence. Well, the fence is now basically complete as it's ever going to get." "Maybe they'll need a moat," he said, generating laughter from a crowd of more than 1,000. "Maybe they want alligators in the moat."
Maybe we'll want some facts, clown. Excuse me, President Clown.

#9  Immigration reform = open borders and amnesty = undocumented democrats.

An thinly veiled obvious attempt to get to recruit new democratic voters into the fold.

#8  At his direction the Customs and Immigration folks have been cooking the books for 2 years, setting the stage for his saying that enforcement has been a success, so now lets do amnesty. 15 million more illegals will tip the boat forever along the border states, as well as numerous major metropolitan areas. Once that democrat plurality is established for all time, the inevitable leveling to the Marxist social model will be completed. Of course, the wheels come off very early on when the entire economy fails and the remaining actual Americans resist. Ugly portends if this mutt gets reelected....

#7  Why does he feel compelled to mock and insult those who disagree with him. Small penis?

#6  Seems to me we have enough landscapers and roofers to last about a thousand years already.

Scientists and engineers are a differents story, but there are already enough around to supress the wage, so do we really need a ton more of them?

#5  Nothing wrong. You just have an acute sense of deja-1984.

#4  No, Anguper. Your nose is working just fine. Immigration reform is code for opening the border to an unchecked flood of immigrants from Third World countries who can be counted on to vote for Democrat candidates. Life as you know it will be all over when it is accomplished.

#3   Whenever I read the term "Immigration Reform" I smell BS. Is there something wrong with me?
