Sovereignty at stake, says Nawaz
2011-05-11
[Dawn] Pakistain Mohammedan League-N chief Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Müslim League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
said on Monday that the recent US operation to kill Al Qaeda leader the late Osama bin Laden
... who is now among the dear departed, though not among the dearest...
in Abbottabad had put the country`s illusory sovereignty at stake.

Talking to newsmen at the residence of former Lahore district nazim Mian Amir Mahmood, the PML-N leader said the country faced a dangerous situation which called for national unity.

"The Abbottabad operation was a serious attack on the illusory sovereignty of Pakistain and the nation is looking at recent developments with concern and wants to know who is responsible for the situation," he said. He said the incidents of (release of) US spy Raymond Davis and killing of Osama bin Laden threatened the solidarity and integrity of the country.

He warned that the country`s independence, illusory sovereignty and honour would be at stake if such incidents were ignored.

Mr Sharif said the country, which was already facing immense problems, could not deal with any more difficulties.

Recalling his statement that President Asif Ali President Ten Percent Zardari
... sticky-fingered husband of the late Benazir Bhutto ...
was a threat to democracy and national integrity, the PML-N leader said it was for the media to judge whether he was right or wrong.

"Everything I had said about the president a year and a half ago has now been proven to be true."

#1  GEE WHIZZZ, RIN-TIN-TIN + MR. WILSON, I WONDER WHAT GAVE THEM THAT IDEA, as Dubya's dad BUSH 1 might say???

To wit,

* CNN + FOX NEWS AM > Among other, the TOP HATS surrounding POTUS BAMMER in the situation room, e.g. SecState HILLARY, during the Abbottabad raid were ready at a moment's notice to get on the Hotlines = Red Phones to PAKISTAN, etal. GOVTS. to explain US motives + engage in diplomatic damage control, ESPEC IFF THE SEALS ENCOUNTERED PAK MIL RESISTANCE OR WERE DETECTED WHILE ALSO ULTIMATELY FAILING TO GET OSAMA.

* PEOPLE'S DAILY FORUM > REPORT: OBAMA WAS READY FOR [military] CONFRONTATION WID PAKISTAN.

* NHK WORLD [Japan] > OBAMA ANTICIPATED ATTACK [PAK Army-Police = Security forces] DURING BIN LADEN RAID.

* WAFF > BIN LADEN LIVED MORE THAN THREE YEARS [3-5? 7?] JUST 800 METERS AWAY FROM PAK ARMY BASE.

POSTER = denoted that PAKISTAN IS IMPORTANT TO TURKEY + OTHER REGIONAL "TURKIC STATES" [Turkic/Turkoman majority] BECAUSE IT PROVIDES ACCESS TO INTERNAT SEA LANES.

* NEWS KERALA > "IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE" FOR BEING PAKISTAN BEING UNAWARE OF OSAMA'S PRESENCE: RICE [Ex-SecState Condi Rice].

OBL RESIDED UP TO "SEVEN YEARS" IN PAKISTAN + roughly 1/3-MILE DISTANCE to a PAK MIL ACADEMY.

* PEOPLE'S DAILY FORUM > "BIN LADEN-ISM" ENDURES IN SOUTHEAST ASIA, e.g. Philippines + Indonesia.

ARTIC > MARIA RESSA [interview] = regards INDONESIA as the MOST VULNERABLE TO OSAMA-STYLE EXTREMISM e.g. than Malaysia, since the pro-OSAMA/QAEDA JI Militant Group is not illegal there + is actively recruiting Local, Regional Jihadists along wid other Islamist groups; FUZZY BOUNDARIES BETWEEN WHOM IS DEFINED OR LABELED AS AN ISLAMIC "RADICAL", VERSUS WHOM IS AN ISLAMIC "CONSERVATIVE".
