BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Baghdad Arab Summit has been postponed until March, 2012, according to an agreement between IraqÂ’s Foreign Minister, Hoshiar Zibary and the Arab LeagueÂ’s Secretary-General, Amro Moussa, the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Channel has reported on Thursday.
“Hoshiar Zibary and Amro Moussa have agreed on the postponement of the Arab Summit, that was scheduled to convene in Baghdad next May to March 2012, according to a demand by the Iraqi side,” the Channel said.
IraqÂ’s Permanent Respresentative to the Arab League, Qais al-Azzawi, announced March 2, 2011 that the Arab Foreign Ministers have decided in their meeting in Cairo to postpone the Arab Summit, scheduled to convene in Baghdad from its scheduled time at the end of March, 2011 to May 15 next. |
