#32  Another thing Ghandi was? A murder victim.

#31  "an eye for an eye makes everyone blind"
Ghandi was a philosopher, not a mathematician or a sociologist: the criminal rate is closer to 1 to 100, so we're talking about 1 blind neutralized criminal, 2 guys with one eye, and 97 with both eyes and a valuable lesson learned.

#29  i have now come across two... TWO facebook acquaintances who have sympathy for the devil. How?

One said... an eye for an eye makes everyone blind. Like an idiot.

The other one said. What good does it do?

Well I set them straight. I might be two friends down by morning.

#27  Abbottabad

The city is situated in the Orash Valley, 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Islamabad and 150 kilometres (93 mi) east of Peshawar at an altitude of 4,120 feet (1,260 m) and is the capital of the Abbottabad District. The city is well-known throughout Pakistan for its pleasant weather, high standard educational institutions and military establishments. It remains a major hub for tourism of regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir in the summer.

Abbottabad is home to Kakul, the West Point of the Pakistani military.

#26  I wonder what Mullah Omar's pucker factor is at right about now. Time to get those bus tickets and see if he can get to North Korea.

#25  thanks ec and scooter, good to go through that exchange since the pic is cropping up in the MSM, good to be informed ahead of time!

Because wait for it... the existance of a photoshopped pic going into the MSM is like a flaming red rag to the conspiracy bulls out there. They may take that as evidence he's not dead, it's all a hoax etc etc. You know what people are like. They are idiots, like the ones that somehow believe planes never flew into buildings, it was all an evil joooo conspiracy etc etc

#24  On this occasion, I am reminded of the words of a great American philosopher and observer of the human condition, Jackie "Moms" Mabley (1894 – 1975):

Dick Cavett: Well, can't you say anything good about the dead?
Moms Mabley: He's dead--that's good!

#20  One more post -- the mouth in both images line up perfectly in Photoshop. Image is totally fake. Thanks to E.C. for the help in debunking it.
Posted by: Scooter McGruder   2011-05-02 06:06

#19  No need to. It's popping up unchecked in the MSM.
Posted by: European Conservative   2011-05-02 05:50

#18  Ok, as a Photoshop user since version 1.0 I acknowledge that this is probably the partial source of the photoshopped image I previously linked. I bow to E.C.'s superior recollection of existing images regarding the graphic in question!

It was a fake. I apologize for any confusion.

#16  My second source is from January 2010
Posted by: European Conservative   2011-05-02 05:11

#15  Well, date of the operation was allegedly about a week ago. Which matches the google cache, so I'm not entire sure the image has been debunked.

#14  Scooter, link in the other thread

#13  Live report by Chip Reid on CBS just asserted that there were only two helicopters, but even though one 'copter went down the remaining 'copter managed to extricate all US operatives, plus Osama's body which is in custody (presumably not buried at sea). The operation was allegedly in Northern Pakistan-- not far from India (Kashmir region), but not far from Afghanistan either.

Posted by: anon1   2011-05-02 04:12

#9  As far as I know it's authentic. Doesn't look Photoshopped to me... and I've been using Photoshop since version 1.0. You can compare it to this screenshot.

#7  Why is his eye socket area so white and burned sort of looking? I can see the bullet hole but how come all that area is so weirdly pale?
Posted by: anon1   2011-05-02 03:46

#6  Scooter is that headshot for real? It's not photoshopped or anything? Is that the official pic?
