| Bomb found on gas pipeline near Catholic church |

| National Police Chief Gen. Timur Pradopo confirmed that the suspicious package found in a gas pipeline in Tangerang on Thursday morning just a hundred meters away from a Catholic Church was indeed a bomb. The bomb squad (Gegana) are still trying to deactivate the bomb, which Timur said was believed to have been placed near the gas pipeline to create a bigger explosion. A police source blamed JI. Djoko Suyanto, coordinating minister for political, legal and security affairs, said at the president's office following a limited cabinet meeting on security issues, "Starting tonight until the day after Easter, the military and the police will be on the highest alert at all places." |
