Obama says he didnÂ’t tell Mexico of U.S. gun smuggling sting because he didnÂ’t know about |
2011-03-25 |
![]() The Mexican government has complained that it didn’t know about the U.S. operation that allowed guns to illegally cross the southwestern border so they could track the weapons. Obama told Univision‘s Jorge Ramos that President Felipe Calderon wasn’t informed of the operation because he — the president of the United States — wasn’t informed either. When asked whether he knew of the weapon smuggling plan, Obama responded that it is “a pretty big government” with “a lot of moving parts.” Translation, each department has a Obama anointed chief and each one acts like that department is their own little fiefdom. They can act how they want as long as they tow the Obama line and are expendable and provide "plausible deny-ability" to the president if they get caught doing their naughty things. Typical mob/Chicago politics in action. |

#12 We wouldn't know about it if a tipster hadn't alerted Senator Grassley, who investigated further. |

#11 What did the AG know, and when did he know it? Fire Holder NOW. |

#10 Proving either Obean's or Holder's incompetance once again. If Holder even thought this was a good idea he should be fired. His decisions should all be reviewed and Obean officially informed. |

#8 Kind of a serious charge, supplying weapons to anti-government entities across the southern border It's OK, those are Catholics. Better not try not that in Islamandia, like say Iran. |

#7 Kind of a serious charge, supplying weapons to anti-government entities across the southern border, kindo of sure that would not be a local decision, and for what reason? Who would I have come up with a scheme which supplies shadely obtained firearms in an international setting but who could not easily be summoned before a congressional hearing. Mr. Bersin? Kerlikowske? Sure did seem like they knew something was up, one of the few quick to respond decisive opinions. President of Mexico comes before congress and lectures about guns crossing south and nobody took it any farther? Is this the opposite of the DADT, don't look don't know? |

#5 NRA presidential campaign add material I'd say. Please copy to folder along with the cross-border mule dope runner video clips. I'm certain they will both come in handy very soon. |

#4 Obama says he didn't tell Mexico of U.S. gun smuggling sting because he didn't care to know know about. FIFY. With a directive to 'make it happen' [excuse to deny Americans their 2nd Amendment rights], coupled with little or no morals or ethics in the command chain, what do you expect. |

#3 He didn't know? That makes it easy. Summarily fire those who authorized it, as an example to the rest. This will also encourage the rest to document formal and informal informing of the president, for self-protection. A file memo with a recording of the meeting will do nicely, although I'd suggest storing such things at a secret outside location. |

#2 The number of people that "need to step down" include just about everyone in the grade of SES-1 and higher, in virtually every bureaucracy in Washington. We MIGHT be able to get a handle on things then. Biden and O'Bumble are just the cherry on top. |

#1 President Obama said in an interview that neither he nor Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the controversial "Operation Fast and Furious." Is he not the Commander in Chief? Is he not ultimately responsible for the actions of those in his charge? Perhaps his "pretty big government" should become a bit smaller through his stepping down. |
