Afghan Govt Calls for Limitation of Unama Mission

[Tolo News] Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for restriction in Unama's mission in Afghanistan in a proposal to UN Chief.

The ministry has presented ten articles requesting the United Nations, aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society Secretary General the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon to set Unama's mission for this year based on the proposal.

The proposal highlights the important role that Unama could play in security transition to Afghan lead.

It suggests offices of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan should be limited to six zones.

While hailing Unama's aid to Afghanistan, officials in foreign ministry see restriction of Unama's mission vital as the country is on the threshold of beginning security transition to Afghan cops.

"We hope the discussions work, but in the next six months we should hold our main talks so that the review takes place. When tasks of the Unama are set this year, we should even consider it more seriously," Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rasoul said.

Mr Rasoul said all participants in the International Contact Group Conference in Jeddah declared their support to Afghan-led grinding of the peace processor.
