21 Die in Northern Mexico
A total of 21 individuals were murdered in ongoing drug and gang related violence including five individuals shot to death in Juarez Sunday.

- Two unidentified men were shot to death in Chihuahua Friday, according to the Mexican news daily La Polaka.
- A guard was shot to death at the gates of the Cerro de la Cruz colony near the corner of Avenida 20 de Noviembre and Calle 58th. The victim was gunned down by armed suspects aboard a vehicle.
- A guard at a brewery was shot to death near the intersection of avenidas Juarez and Pacheco.
- An armed suspect was killed and one state police agent was wounded in a shootout in Chihuahua city Friday. The shootout began when police were fired on by armed suspects attempting to steal a car near the intersection of Revolucion Cubana and Highway 45 in the Parque Pistolas Meneses colony near a Walmart. Apparently the suspects abandoned their vehicles and fled into the adjacent Populares colony to take refuge in a residence on Calle Tupamaros. During the flight one suspect was shot dead by police. A total of four suspects were detained by intervening Policia Federal and municipal police. Security forces seized two vehicles, five hand grenades, four AR-15 rifles, one each 9mm and .45 caliber pistols, 24 AR-15 magazines, 731 rounds of ammunition and four bulletproof vests.
- Two unidentified individuals were shot to death and three others were wounded in a shooting in Chihuahua city late Friday night. The shooting took place on calle Che Guevara in the Villa colony where armed suspects aboard a Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup truck and a Nissan Altima sedan fired on five individuals at a residence. Manuel Margarito Ochoa Lopez, 26 and an unidentified teenger were killed, while three other unidentified individuals were wounded. Several spent 9mm and AK-47 assault rifle shell casings were found at the scene.
- Five unidentified individuals were shot to death in Juarez Sunday morning. The victims were found on a vacant lot on calle Articulo 123 in the Juarez colony after they were forced out of two vehicles and shot.
- An unidentified man was found stabbed to death in Chihuahua city Sunday morning. The victim was found atop a trash pile in a vacant lot near the intersection of calles Jimenez and 70th in the Cerro de Cruz colony. Reports say he was stabbed with a machete.
- Four unidentified men were shot to death in Juarez Sunday. The victims were killed at a converted residence on the corner of calles Estrella Capella and José Reyes Estrada in the Torres del PRI colony. Reports say armed suspects used rifles and pistols in the attack.
- An unidentified man was found shot to death in Juarez Sunday. The victim was found at the Mercado La Canasta on calle Babicora in the Azteca colony.
- Two unidentified men were found shot to death and a third was wounded in Tijuana, Baja California Friday night. The vicitms were found aboard an Chevrolet Blazer SUV on calle Mision de Mulege in the Zona RÃÂo shot several times. Eight 9mm spent cartridge casings were found at the scene. The vehicle the suspects used was found near the intersection of calles Gabilondo Soler and Juventino Rosas in the 20 de Noviembre colony.
- Two men were found shot to death in two separate incidents in Torreon, Coahuila Thursday and Friday, according to the Mexican news daily El Sol de La Laguna.
- Francisco Javier Amezcua Rodriguez, 30, was found shot to death near the intersection of calles Bellota and Capullo in front of the Plaza Centenario Friday. Three spent 9mm cartridge casings were found at the scene.
- An unidentified man was found shot to death on Paseo de las VÃÂrgenes in the Ruborosa Wade colony Thursday. The victim had been shot once in the head.
- A woman was found strangled to death and in a state of decompositiion near Torreon, Coahuila Thursday. Maria Soledad Sanchez Gomez, 24, who was reported ,missing last February 24th was found near the La Quinta San José near the ejido San Agustn.
