Karzai Urges Death Sentence for Jalalabad Assailant

[Tolo News] President ![]() Maybe I'll join the TalibanKarzai Wednesday called for execution of the attacker who shot to death scores of civilians trapped in a private bank in Jalalabad city on Saturday. President Karzai's Spokesperson, Wahid Omar, called the raid in Jalalabad city "inhuman, un-Islamic and shocking". I'd call it inhuman, typically Islamic, and shocking.
The statement by President's Office is made after TOLO and TOLOnews TV channels aired the footage of civilian killings by an assailant in Jalalabad branch of Kabul Bank.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior has said the assailant is a Pak citizen from Miranshah in North Wazoo. The captured thug said "It was enjoyable to shoot people." The Taliban have grabbed credit for the attack. "On behalf of, and in defence of the Afghan people, President Karzai today instructed head of the Supreme Court to sentence this criminal and terrorist to capital punishment," said Mr Omar. Without pointing out to any specific country, Mr Omar highlighted that hard boyz should be fought outside Afghan borders. "To fight faceless myrmidons in Kabul Bank in Jalalabad and shopping malls in Kabul no longer makes any sense until their safe havens are not rooted out," said Mr Omar. There are powers in the region that see their interests in Afghanistan's instability. Nearly 40 non-combatants were killed and another 80 were maimed in the recent attack in Jalalabad.
