Thai army won't raise southern insurgency with OIC | ||

"The army will do its best to address the problem by using the country's own laws," Gen Prayuth said before heading to restive southern Thailand. He said he will instruct security forces to be more stringent, use more proactive measures and get more cooperation from the public.
"There is no one clear group [responsible for the violence] but there are many groups of people breaking the law, especially drug problems," he said. Gen Prayuth said police had arrested a group of people suspected of involvement in the bombing in Yala on Monday, Feb 21, which killed a woman and injured 17 other people, thanks to footage from a security camera. Authorities still want to track down and arrest the remaining suspects. "I would like the responsible ministry to install more CCTVs in the area," he said further. | ||
