| #5 Just apply to them the same standard applied to most commecrial employees: any employee missing more than 3 consecutive days without a valid absence (official travel, vacation, personal day, pre-approved unpaid leave, sabbatical, sick day, short term or extended disability) is considered to have resigned his position by means of extended unexcused absence absence and the position will be declared vacant. |

| #4 Many midwestern states have established procedures for recalling / removing state reps, starting with petitions. I would think that quite a few are now circulating in Wisconsin, but have not found news coverage if this is indeed the case. |

| #3 Nah, just pass a law that any elected official that flees the state to avoid fulfilling the duty of his office is guilty of treason against the state. Also seize all their assets to be sold to pay for the special election to replace them. |

| #1 Now might be the time to enact a bunch of legislation that requires a simple majority of those present. I believe the Wisconsin Republicans planned to start voting today on items that needed only a simple majority -- which I think is just about everything except disbursing money, ie budget. |
