[Ennahar] One of two suspected members of Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) Searched for three days in Mauritania, killed himself by blowing himself and the other was nabbed, told AFP on Saturday a military source."The army has managed to locate and surround them in a small forest" of the Senegal River region (southern Mauritania), "but one of them was able to blow himself before his arrest," said this source indicating that the second was nabbed "without resistance".
The two men, who killed a policeman who was pursuing them, were on the run since the failure Wednesday in a car boom operation intended to carry out attacks in Nouakchott that the army blew up at the gates of the capital.
