| Algerian patriot dies of injuries |

| [Maghrebia] An Algerian Legitimate Defence Group (GLD) member died in hospital a week after being shot by terrorists, El Watan reported on Sunday (January 9th). Mohamed Debari, 59, was struck by seven bullets on January 2nd near Si Mustapha. He reportedly joined the "Patriots" in 1995 to help fight the spread of terror groups in the corpse-littered Boumerdes region. Also in corpse-littered Boumerdes, a roadside kaboom blast maimed two gendarmes on Saturday, Tout sur l'Algerie reported. The attack targeted a barricade set by the National Gendarmerie in Sahel Boubrak. |
