Obama Prays For Quick Recovery of Holbrooke
2010-12-13
[Tolo News] US President Barack B.O. Obama has said he and his family are praying for a quick recovery of Richard Holbrooke, who was operated for a heart illness

Richard Holbrooke, 69, who is currently running as the US Special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistain, is one of the US Department of State's senior diplomats.

President Barack Obama has said in a statement: "We continue to pray for his recovery, and support his family in this difficult time."

Mr Holbrooke Saturday underwent a surgery after falling ill at his office. He is said to be in a stable condition in the George Washington University Hospital, where he was admitted on Friday.

Mr Holbrooke has held senior envoy posts to several Democratic Presidents and because of his major role in bringing the war in Bosnia to an end, he got more famous.

After taking his office as the US special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistain he has played a significant role in US strategy in Afghanistan.

#8  When you don't have a god to direct the prayers to... they tend not to work.

#6  No problem. Reliable lefty Bob Woodward will have a bedside chat with an unconscious Holbrooke in which only facts helpful to obooboo will be divulged.

#4  It took the doctors 20 hours to get him "stabilized", as it were. Probably lots of blood loss poor circulation. Maybe a stroke from poor oxygen supply. If he comes out of this in one piece I will be surprised.

#3  Yes, probably praying that Richard does start his death bed confession and blabbing all the crazy stuff Obama has made him do in Afghanistan.

#1  I wonder who he is praying to?

As for Holbrooke - here's to a quick recovery and a well deserved early retirement.
