Mullah Omar: We don't need no damn peace talks |
2010-11-16 |
[Emirates 24/7] Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar has once again rejected claims that the gunnies are open to talks with the Afghan government in a message for the Mohammedan holiday of Eid Al Adha. Omar said the beturbanned goon group, which calls itself the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is winning the war in Afghanistan. In an emailed statement, he said: "Claims about negotiation, flexibility in the stance of the Islamic Emirate are mere baseless propaganda. The enemy wants to cover up its failure in Afghanistan by wrongfully raising hollow hopes in the hearts of their respective people." He said that the beturbanned goons' strategy is to increase operations countrywide, then "compel the enemy to come out from their hideouts and then crush them through tactical raids." |

#1 As long as he has a safe place to sleep at night in Pakistan and a steady supply of volunteers to fight his little holy war, why should he talk? |
