On his part, Kerry briefed President Al-Assad on the results of his visit to Sudan, where Al-Assad stressed the necessity of uniting efforts to preserve the unity and stability of this country. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem, Presidential Political and Media Advisor Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban, and Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Faisal Miqdad. Eariler this year, President Al-Assad discussed with Kerry the prospects of the peace processor, stressing the gravity of Israel's continuing rejection of the requirements of peace.
