An alleged mugger was caught in injured condition after a shootout between his cohorts and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in BSCIC industrial area of Fatulla Police Station early yesterday.The mugger was identified as Opu Singha, 35, ringleader of a snatching gang.
Acting on secret information, a team of Rab-11 raided the area where a gang of armed snatchers gathered to commit crime.
Spider senses tingling at the proximity of the elite force, the criminals opened fire on them
"Open indiscriminate and poorly-aimed fire, mens!"

forcing them to fire back
"You may fire when ready, Sergeant Rafiq!"
that triggered a shootout, Rab sources said.
At one stage, Opu was caught in the line of fire and sustained bullet injuries in his leg
"Aaaaiiieee! My leg!"
"A little higher next time, Sergeant Rafiq!"
"Sorry, sir! Won't happen again!"
while his cohorts ran away.
Later, Rab personnel sent him to a local hospital.
"Another one for Doctor Quincy, sergeant?"
"Doctor Kildare, I think. And I need the prescription checked on these glasses!"
One LG, one round bullet, a dagger and two moneybags were recovered from the spot.
