Eleven bombings in southern Thailand injure at least 15 | |

Eleven seperate bomb blasts hit Narathiwat province in southern Thailand yesterday, wounding at least 15 people on the anniversary of one of the bloodiest anti-government protests in the country's south. Most of the bombs were IEDs planted in rubber plantations and along the roads, according to the Bangkok Post. A rubber farmer in Rueso district was killed when he stepped on one of the bombs. In the southern province of Pattani, a bomb went off at a rubber plantation, injuring two. Similar explosions also occurred in the province of Yala. The police blamed This latest violence comes on the sixth anniversary of deadly clashes between protesters and security forces in the town of Tak Bai in which 85 people died.
