[Iran Press TV] Separate attacks in Iraq have left one soldier and one Iraqi official dead and several others, including five civilians, maimed in northern parts of the war-torn country.A car bombing, which targeted a US military convoy in northern Iraq on Monday, killed an Iraqi soldier and maimed six others, Iraqi police sources said. None of the US servicemen, however, was harmed as a result of the attack.
In a separate attack on Monday, two civilians were maimed when a shell struck a bridge in Storied Baghdad's high security Green Zone.

elsewhere in Baghdad, Provincial Councilor Jassem Ali Mahmud was killed in a kaboom in the central parts of the capital on Monday.
"He was returning to the municipality in Baghdad when he was killed," Baghdad Governor Salah Abdel Razak told AFP.
Eight other people, three bodyguards and five passersby were also maimed, in the incident.
