Tamaulipas: Home Burns from grenades, Small Arms Assault |

![]() A residence in Cuidad Madero, Tamaulipas was set afire during an assault and firefight between armed suspects which included several 40mm grenade detonations, according to Mexican news accounts. The attack took place near the intersection of calle Yucatan and Zacatecas in the Unidad Nacional district. The firefight lasted nearly 40 minutes and involved the detonation of at least five 40mm grenades. The apparent target was a car in the garage. Reports say the walls of the residence had numerous bullet pock marks on its exterior. Reports say no one was apparently hurt in the assault. Cuidad Madero is a suburb of Tampico in southern Tamaulipas. |
