Rifi: Interpol Won't Act on Syria's Arrest Warrants |

![]() He pointed out that in the past, Syria had issued an arrest warrant against Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat that Interpol had ignored to because it had political aims. The warrants, issued on Sunday, were over false testimony given in the U.N.-backed probe into the assassination of ex-PM Rafik Hariri. Maj. Gen. Jamil Sayyed, former head of Leb's General Security Department, said the top investigating judge in Damascus had issued arrest warrants "against judges, security officers, politicians, journalists and other Lebanese, Arab and foreign officials and individuals." |
