| #2 Yes, we've been hearing the Donks whine about 'outside' money in this election, after taking in untraceable sums from Europe in 2008, but they never seem to acknowledge all the mandatory payroll union dues that they somehow get into their political coffers. |

| #1 Donations may really matter this time, because the DNC is abandoning "lost causes", and trying to concentrate its money on protecting what had been safe seats. That is a serious sign of desperation. It is also a crummy defense strategy. |
