Security report examines stealth jihad in America
2010-09-16
A panel of security experts warned that America is under attack by a non-violent stealth jihad, in a report that claimed Islamists are trying to bring Shari'a law to the US.
Any thoughts on the Ground Zero Rabbat?
The report, backed by the Center for Security Policy and promoted by several conservative lawmakers Wednesday, said that the threat posed by Al Qaeda and other terror groups is outmatched by the threat from within.

"This form of warfare includes multi-layered cultural subversion, the co-opting of senior leaders, influence operations and propaganda and other means of insinuating Shariah into Western societies," the report said.

The study referred to the Muslim Brotherhood as the most powerful group trying to bring that about, but said that America's vulnerability went beyond such organizations. The study urged government to be more watchful by investigating Shari'a promoting imams and overseeing the contents of school textbooks.

The report cited a recent case where a New Jersey judge rejected a woman's request for a restraining order against her husband whom she claimed sexually abused her. In this case, the judge ruled that the husband acted according to his Muslim beliefs; the decision was eventually overturned. "Still, the fact that such a reversal was necessary is instructive," the report said.
This article is better.

#4  Can we not outlaw sharia law as being subversive? This would be like the Amish people developing a parallel system of law that is anti-thetical to American law.

#3  We still have some liberal PC-oriented politicians, the MSM, and lefties who choose to be retarded with regards to America being under attack by a non-violent stealth jihadists. American culture and the sharia law muslims are not compatible. It's an issue of freedom loving people vs. suck the life out of you people.

#2  Karl Denninger's comment on the NJ case:
Sharia Law was recognized as giving this man the right to **** [RAPE] his wife in an American court. That is, you only have the right to say "No" as a woman in America if you are not married to a Muslim.

Maybe someone can explain to me how this fails to violate the "establishment" clause?

Yes, the decision was reversed on appeal.

But that such a decision could be rendered in an American court puts a mockery to the claim of "equal protection under the law" and any claim of "assimilation" into our culture and cultural norms!

#1   I think the Ground Zero Rabbat actually highlights this issue pretty well as a Jihad Victory site. From the other article: "it is vital to the national security of the United States, and to Western civilization at large, that we do what we can to empower Islam's authentic moderates and reformers."
This presupposes that there ARE 'authentic moderates and reformers' in Islam. There are not. Those to whom the label could apply are heretics and apostates by traditional Islamic standards. Trying to empower them will just be seen as the arrogance of Crusaders and infidels.
The US and 'Western civilization' used to have standards of law and behavior and used to have its own form of sovereignty until PC came along. Insist on THAT and accept no substitutes.
