I suspect the reason this story didn’t have much legs was threefold. First, it was around that time when it became evident that the Senate had no stomach to take up an Energy bill that included a Cap and Trade scheme. Second, the connections are too convoluted for the typical bumper sticker headline trawled out by the MSM. And finally, the story was broke by the “non-journalist” Glenn Beck. On this one Beck spells out his conjecture of collusion quite clearly. And like the Van Jones story he asks his audience not “Is the story true” but “If it is true…would it matter”? |
