Iran ready to release American hiker accused of spying

Iran has announced that it is now ready to release an American woman accused of spying.

Yesterday Iranian authorities had said that they would release Sarah Shourd, but then suddenly cancelled the plan. There seems to have been a dispute between the judiciary and the presidency in that case. Today, a senior prosecutor says Iran is ready to release her on $500,000 bail.

Shourd was arrested with two other Americans when they strayed across the border from Iraq. Iran claims that the equipment they were carrying is only used for spying.

#5  The Iranians will release her, declaring it a "gesture of goodwill". Our fantabulous President will "welcome this positive development".

The Iranians will continue to develop nukes, and murder, jail, and torture its citizens. They've got 2 more "gestures of goodwill" in prison, waiting to be released at an opportune moment. What's the rush?

The best joke about that I've ever seen was Lucy holding the football, Charlie brown running, Lucy is kicked out of the picture and the football remains as Charlie Brown is still standing there one foot raised and wearing his trademark crooked Grin.
