Debka so SALT: Iran threatens Israel's Dimona reactor, will destroy Israel in nuclear war

#9  Only flaw in rj's idea is that the DOD and USN chopped up all the F-14s after the multiple disclosures of scumbags selling parts to Iran a couple of years ago. Only gate guards remain, and they have already been stripped of good parts.
F-4s however.......

#7  Unless the US, ISRAEL mil attack Iran first, IMO PCorrect, still-Nuclearizing IRAN will choose to hold off on its military strike options until AFTER THE MILITANT GROUPS = HEZBOLLAH, ETC. STRIKE ISRAEL FIRST.

Once begun, unfortunately for Tel Aviv it will NOT be a another "SIX-DAY WAR" or even "2006" quickie war - iff anything, it will be "YOM KIPPUR", LONGER + FINAL, SAVE THIS TIME AGZ IRAN, AQ + the ISLAMIST GLOBAL MILTERR JIHAD, + PERHAPS MORE IMPOR ISRAEL WILL NOT BE CERTAIN AS TO UNCONDITIONAL US-NATO BACKING + MIL SUPPORT AS UNDER POTUS NIXON + COLD WAR.

E.g. WMF > PLAN ADM. ZHAO ZHAOZHONG = believes the US CANNOT AFFORD OR SUPPORT AN ATTACK AGZ IRAN.

ADM. ZHAO ZHAOZHONG read, US = US-ALLIES HAVE NO REAL OPTIONS SAVE TO MIL ATTACK + OCCUPY IRAN E.G. IRAQ + AFPAK. SHORT OF DIRECT INVASION + OCCUPATION, THE US = US-ALLIES MUST WIN QUICKLY IN CONVENTIONAL BLITZKRIEG, OR ELSE RESORT TO UNILATERAL MIL USE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS TO STOP OR DEFEAT IRAN.

"NONE OF THE ABOVE" = IRAN WILL DEV ITS NUCWEAPS, THE MILTERRS WILL GET THEIR
"ISLAMIST/JIHADIST BOMB(S)" FOR USE IN LOCAL, WORLDWIDE TERROR.

COLD WAR COMMIE "PEOPLE'S WAR" now becomes POST-COLD WAR "PEOPLE'S MILITANCY-TERRORISM".

IMO Israel knows it, + so does MOUD + MULLAHS = IRAN, TO INCLUD DA MILITANTS.

#6  Ooooo, rjschwarz, that's positively evil.

I like your thinking. :-D

#5  Israel should have built a dozen non-functioning reactors a long time ago. Let everyone think they are real. Use them as bait for terrorist attacks and let folks like Iran target them and waste assets.

Israel now, should get some old F-14s, rig them to fly by remote and paint them with Iranian colors and then pseudo-suicide them into any Iranian targets (assuming war that is) rather than using bombs initially. This would so confusion and intense paranoia between the regime and Iranian air force and might be able to take out a target or two in the process.

And they should make sure the "pilots" have little suicide films against the regime that can be released later along with footage captured by "iranians" who witnessed "had forewarning" the attacks and posted said video or photos online.

#4  Well, I hate to use it, but it seems safe enough for now, according the that losers at Wikipedia,

The purpose of Dimona is widely assumed to be the manufacturing of nuclear weapons, and the majority of defense experts have concluded that it does in fact do so. It is also reported to manufacture depleted uranium for armor-piercing shells.

It may be more of a tit-or-tat scenerio. "You bomb our weapon's facility, we bombs yours." It would also put a bit of a crimp in their munitions manufacture. It also appears to be a research center. So, it's a big target with a capital, "T."

I think the fallout from a hit would be still be a secondary benefit. I don't think that Iran doesn't understand Israel's reluctance to cause ecological and civilian damage, but count on it. Most terrorists do. Also, I think they can imagine how any one would think different, it's just that they don't care, don't value any thing but their own ideology, and are, well, essentially evil at heart. People are nothing more than tools to be used and abused as needed. That is what should scare people the most.

#3  I don't think the reactor is a strategic target unless they can reprocess the fuel, which I assume they need the reactor to do. (Am I wrong here?)

It's just a symbol to them.

But th Israelis have a target of wiping out these kinds of symbols before doing so would pose any kind of threat to the population near the reactor or in the fallout footprint.

I also read that if the roles were reversed, Iran wouldn't give a $hit about the affected population.

Combine this with the idea that the Iranians can't imagine how anyone would think differently than they do in this regard, and that is what I was trying to suggest.

#2  I don't quite get that gorb. The reactor is a valuable strategic target. By Iran making note of it, then boasting about their accuracy, and range, and coverage, they are putting out a warning, "Bomb us and we will attempt to destroy your reactor." Any nuclear pollution or fallout is just a side benefit. Any thing that hurts any thing Jewish they would relish in. No, it's saber rattling. The only question is, can they make good on their threat? One item to note is that they are no longer just talking about attacking Israek or wiping off the map. They are indicating specific targets for attack, publicly.

#1  Which suggests that Iran is taking advantage of Israel's reluctance to contaminate the area around Iran's nuclear reactor by bombing it, and it also suggests that Iran has no such reluctance.
