If Barack Obama were to marshal AmericaÂ’s vast scientific and strategic resources behind a new Manhattan Project, he might reasonably hope to reinvent the global energy landscape and sketch an end to our dependence on fossil fuels within three to five years. |

#1 India is hoping to start up a 300MW Thorium based reactor in 2011. Fabricating the fuel is a problem and so is recyling because there are a lot of radiactively by products but we have better remote fabrication technology than 20 or even 5 years ago. So maybe. |
