| Hizbullah's Musawi Urges Swift Action to Curb Repercussions of Borj Abi Haidar Gunbattles |

| [An Nahar] Hizbullah MP Hussein Musawi on Thursday described as "isolated incident" bloody street battles in Borj Abi Haidar, urging political parties to act quickly to curb any repercussions. "We appeal on all parties to move swiftly to find ways to prevent recurrence" of Tuesday's fighting that started in Borj Abi Haidar and soon spread to nearby Basta and Nweiri, just blocks from downtown Beirut -- usually packed with tourists at this time of year. Three militants were killed and several other people were wounded in the fighting which pitted Hizbullah supporters against Al-Ahbash partisans. Musawi warned, at the same time, "those who are trying to use this incident against the Resistance and its weapons." "Israel is our enemy Israel and no one will drag us into civil strife," he stressed. |
