(Itar-Tass) -- Two attempts on the life of coppers were committed in Dagestan over the past day, as a result a policeman was injured and hospitalized then.On Wednesday, at the approaches to Botayurt, the Khasavyurt Region, unidentified gunnies opened automatic fire at a police patrol car from the Tarumovsky district, the press service of the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass. The policeman was hospitalized with a breast injury.
Another attempt on the life of coppers was committed early on Thursday morning at a police post near Chirkata, the Gumbet district. "The police stopped the VAZ-2107 driver for an identity checkup, and the car passenger made several gunshots at coppers and beat feet. No coppers were injured," the press service reported.
The Zhiguli driver was brought to the police station.
