(KUNA) -- At least three innocent persons, including a mother-daughter duo and a government official, have been killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir during the past 24 hours, reported the New Delhi Television (NDTV).The militants suspected them to be related to police informers, added the report.
A 40-year old woman Shakeela and her 19-year-old daughter Zareena were killed by unidentified militants in Kulgam district, which falls under South Kashmir.
According to the report, both the victims were innocent.
In a second incident, a government official working with the Jammu and Kashmirs Social Welfare Department, identified as Ghuman Mohammad Bhat, was also gunned down by militants in the states Pulwama district. There was no immediate confirmation of the deceased being a police informer.
