Six Die in Chihuahua
Six individuals were murdered in drug and gang related violence in northern Mexico, which included an attempted assassination of the former mayor of Hidalgo, Tamaulipas.

- Two unidentified individuals were shot to death at a residence in Chihuahua, Chiuhuahua, according to Mexican press reports. The attack took place near the intersection of calles Ché Guevara y Camilo Cienfuegos where several armed suspects burst inside the home and began shooting. A third victim was forced outside and into a Ford Windstar van, which was seen fleeing the area.
- Two teenagers were shot to death Friday night in Juarez, according to Mexican press reports. The attack took place near Plaza Trigal on Avenida Gómez MorÃÂn where a young couple were shot to death while parked in their sedan. The couple have been tentatively identified as Laura Cecilia and Cesar Hinojos.
- A severed head was found on the street north of Chihuahua, according to Mexican press reports. The head was found near Pistolas Meneses park in the 20 Aniversario district inside a foam cooler. The cooler also contained a message although the contents were not revealed.
- An unidentified man was found shot to death in Delicias, Chihuahua, according to Mexican press reports. The discovery was made near the intersection of calles Avenida 2nd and Poniente in the Carmen district.
- The former mayor of Hidalgo, Tamaulipas was shot and wounded Thursday afternoon, say Mexican press reports. Cesareo Rocha Villanueva was attacked near Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas by several armed suspects at about 1300 hrs.
