[Tolo News] At least 4 guards of a private security company were killed and 12 other guards were wounded in clashes with Taliban on Friday night in the western Herat provinceIn the clashes that continued from 4am till 10am between the two sides, three cars of a private security company were also destroyed.
"The fighting broke out on Friday evening in the province when a group of Taliban attacked a convoy of a private security company," Abdul Rawuf Ahmadi, a spokesman for Police Forces in the west, told TOLOnews.
Two Taliban insurgents were also killed in the incident.
The private security company was transporting cargoes to the foreign forces.
Taliban insurgents often attack the convoys of the private security companies, in which both sides suffer casualties.
The Afghan president, Hamid Karzai had previously urged foreign forces to ban private security companies, saying that the companies have been causing insecurity in the country.
