| 7 wounded in bomb blast in Mosul |

| NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Seven people, including a policeman, were wounded in a bomb blast that targeted a police checkpoint in western Mosul city on Monday, according to a local security source. “The explosion targeted a federal police checkpoint in Zanjili area, western Mosul, leaving seven, including one policeman, injured,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “A gunman hurled the bomb and escaped,” he said, adding the civilians happened to be near the blast site. |
