| Bid foiled to kidnap Malik's brother |

| [Dawn] A bid to kidnap the brother of Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday night was foiled in Islamabad. Police sources told DawnNews that the kidnappers in a Land Cruiser followed Malik's brother when he came out of the Ministers Enclave. The kidnappers managed to flee when they found police on the Margalla road. After the incident, police enhanced checking on all the exit points of the city and registered a case against three unknown suspects in Secretariat police station under section 345 and 511. |
