NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Parliament's candidate from al-Iraqiya Alliance died on Monday of wounds he sustained earlier in western Mosul, a police source said."Bashar Mohammad Hamed al-Akidi died in the hospital of wounds," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. He did not give more details.
Another police source said that the man and his driver were wounded earlier when unknown gunmen opened fire on them in front of his house in al-Aamel neighborhood in western Mosul.
