| 'Goldstone sent 28 SA blacks to death' |

| Jurist Richard Goldstone was responsible for sending at least 28 black South Africans to death when they appeared before him during the apartheid regime, Yediot Aharonot reported Wednesday. According to the report, Goldstone, who headed the UN committee which investigated alleged war crimes perpetrated by the IDF during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, handed down the sentences while serving as a judge in the South African Court of Appeals. Goldstone presided during the 1980s and 1990s, and wrote in one of his rulings that the gallows are the only deterrent for killers. |

| #5 That number is meaningless without context. Over what period of time? lets say 15 years (that comes out to about 1.8 a year (estimate))? How many cases were heard? Over 15 years probably several hundred. Even at 100 / year that would be about 1500 cases. How many white people (or non-black) did he sentence? Strangely or intentionally the article doesn't say. What's the Black / nonblack ratio in SA? Not to defend the dude but number '28' is meaningless. |

| #4 Er, huh, Goldstone is a dic*, but WAIT! Please examine the demographics. Our own jails are filled to capacity with whom? Our urban areas are ablaze with gunfire and drug trafficing by whom? Crime in SA is beyond nearly anyone in the United States ability to comprehend. Has been for decades. |

| #2 #1 I agree but we're talking about a jurist that only have harsh words against Israel reaction after thousands of missiles were shot at its civilians, for many years, and when finally the long overdue reaction came from Israel, he went in full attack. Where he was doing during all these years that missiles were flying over Israel? |
